champa bay sports and chris godwin - youth empowerment

Ben Sever, Chris Godwin Partner To Empower Youth

Champa Bay Sports, The Yob Family Foundation, Team Godwin Foundation and the Patricia J Sullivan School collaborated for an amazing day of dynamic youth empowerment at The Florida Aquarium! Approximately 80 deserving kids from Kindergarten to 5th grade within the Metropolitan Ministries system were provided an opportunity to spend an action-packed day at the Florida Aquarium. The kids were immersed in breathtaking marine life experiences, engaged in creative/educational games, interacted with Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin and of course got decked out in the newest Champa Bay apparel! Our city coming together to integrate community, education, youth empowerment, philanthropy and fun is one of the many reasons Tampa Bay is the city of champions!

The Yob Family Foundation’s (YFF) mission, the event’s benefactor, is to fill in the gaps, to take on the causes that seem to be left behind and provide resources for children where they are needed the most. Protecting children from harm and ensuring they are well fed and healthy are the most basic values we share as a society. “Bringing together developing youth, educational experiences, local celebrities and community-centric brands is the type of cohesion we are passionate about pioneering. From philanthropic acceleration, innovative startups to sports teams, Tampa has become home to many champions of the Bay and it is an honor to spearhead such impactful events,” said Lisa Pizarro-Yob.

The Florida Aquarium is a staple of the Tampa Bay Community and Toni Wofford continues to endorse innovative partnerships and integrated donor collaborations. “The Florida Aquarium is incredibly proud of the role we play in our community from working to protect and restore our blue planet to providing unforgettable experiences for students,” said Toni  Wofford. “We work to fulfill our mission to entertain, educate and inspire stewardship of the natural environment every day but opportunities to host days like today with Chris Godwin and the Yob Family are among the most meaningful.”

“Tampa Bay has become an epicenter of multi-industry, rapid economic development and entities such as The Florida Aquarium, The Yob Family Foundation and Champa Bay Sports are examples of our extraordinary city’s potential and unique potential for growth,” said Ben Sever, CEO of Champa Bay Sports.
